As it has been for the centuries since the birth of the New Testament church, there are deceivers and deceptions subtly infiltrating Christianity in our very own lifetime. Whether it is intentional or simply ignorance and fleshly desires makes no difference since the spiritual damage is rampant as these erroneous teachings falsely fly under the banner of Christianity. We read of these wolves in sheep’s clothing between the covers of the Bible and our hearts are in wonder of how this could be and yet, as present day bible believing Christians, we live among these masquerading wolves ourselves simply dressed in 21st century style, using 21st century language. Who would ever think that the greatest danger to the sole authority and sufficiency of God’s Word, to Jesus Christ, the One and Only Savior, His Cross and His bodily resurrection would come from within the walls of Christianity itself rather than from the world outside of it. It is with a burden for the long held fundamentals of the Christian faith founded in Scripture, and Scripture alone, that the members of Discerning the Drift Teaching Ministry have come together in solidarity. We, as individuals, first recognized the covert deception taking place around us before we even knew what label it carried. Whether it was a deletion from or an addition to The True Truth of God’s Word made no difference since the end result was the same-leaven! As a ministry we desire to expose any teacher or teaching that publicly contradicts a contextual understanding of Scripture. As we strive to be Christ like in all that we do and say, it is with no malice toward the individuals but purely in a zeal for God’s Truth to not be tampered with. As Jesus Christ, Our Savior, spoke of in the Parable of the Sower and the Soils in Mark 4:3-9, Discerning the Drift Teaching Ministry will offer evidences of the contradictions directly from the sources of concern, compare and expose them as viewed through the lens of Scripture and we will leave the soil to which it falls to the Lord!
